About us
Driscoll Motors is a local family owned dealership whose primary business activity is the wholesale brokering of used vehicles between car dealers throughout Texas, but unlike most wholesale brokers, we DO sell vehicles to the public!
Our knowledgeable buyers search the southwestern United States for the finest vehicles available so we see and broker literally hundreds and hundreds of late model (primarily 4 years old & newer) import and domestic cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans each and every month... a large percentage of which are still covered by Factory New Car Warranty. We are a Better Business Bureau A+ Accredited business, licensed/regulated by the State of Texas, and bonded for your protection.
Due to the primarily wholesale nature of Driscoll Motors' business, most of the vehicles listed on this website are priced at or very close to wholesale market value and are what we expect to get for our vehicles from other dealers. Consequently, many individuals like yourself have found outstanding vehicles at bargain prices without having to negotiate to get a good deal. At Driscoll Motors EVERYONE receives the same low price regardless of individual negotiating skills or group affiliation (we don't play favorites here).
WE DO NOT TACK-ON ANY ADDITIONAL HIDDEN DEALER FEES to our advertised prices. Other dealers add back-end fees such as a... reconditioning fee, dealer prep fee, customer service fee, certification fee, warranty transfer fee, protection package, service/maintenance/rewards coupon book, advertising fee, and whatever else they think they can get away with charging. These fees are typically added in the closing office at the end of the transaction, AFTER you have agreed on the purchase price. Adding any of these fees enables the dealers that do this to advertise a lower price for their vehicle than what they are actually charging for it. Except for the state mandated TT&L fees and our documentary fee, the price we advertise is the price you pay!
Since Driscoll Motors is different than other dealers, here are a few pertinent FAQs that you should know before contacting or visiting us:
> We allow our customers to evaluate our vehicles alone. We will not pressure you in any way and we will not hover. If you need assistance just ask, we will be glad to help. We don't SELL vehicles here, we help people to BUY them!
> Our listed prices are cash selling prices, not asking prices, and they are MORE than fair!
> Our listed prices don't include state mandated TT&L fees or our documentary fee.
> We don't offer in-house financing and we don't accept financing from Bank of America, Capital One, or Roadloans.
> We DO accept trade-ins. After you have settled on a vehicle that you would like to purchase from us, trade-ins that run and drive are welcome and evaluated at wholesale market value IN PERSON ONLY. We don't accept trade-ins that have "branded" titles and we don't give "ball park" trade-in value estimates by phone or e-mail, sorry.
> We sell USED vehicles here so you should expect to see signs of normal use relative to it's age and miles (a few cosmetic flaws, light soiling, mild odors, some tire wear, etc). If you are an obsessively picky person you should be looking at NEW vehicles!
> ALL used vehicles listed by Driscoll Motors ALWAYS have clean and clear (lien-free) titles.
> Extra keys, remotes, floor mats, owner's manuals (etc) may not be available for every vehicle. You get what we get.
> Our vehicles are sold AS-IS and AS-SHOWN but the majority of them are still covered by factory warranty.
> We DO sell service contracts (for vehicles that qualify based on age/miles).
> We DO allow professional inspections of our vehicles during regular business hours.
> We DO provide FREE CarFax and AutoCheck history reports for all of our vehicles.
> We DON'T provide (or arrange-for) shipping or delivery of our vehicles.
Due to the wholesale nature of Driscoll Motors' business we rotate through our inventory much faster than most retail dealers. If you don't see the vehicle you are looking for here today, check back regularly because we get new inventory daily. Vehicles are posted on our website as soon as they are available. When we are closed our lot is ALWAYS open for unassisted browsing, but not being able to find a specific vehicle doesn't mean that we don't have it. If you see a vehicle on our lot that isn't listed on this website, it is NOT for sale.
